Aurora Dean, APRN, FNP-BC

Aurora is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with 20 years of health care experience initially as a registered nurse beginning in 2003 at Florida Hospital, now known as Advent Health, where she served in various RN roles including cardiac progressive care, peri-operative surgical services, emergency nursing, and as a nurse manager.

She had dreamed of becoming a nurse practitioner for many years and finally decided to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner attending Advent Health University’s as part of the inaugural nurse practitioner cohort where she graduated in 2020 and was given the honor of conducting the student address at the University’s graduation.

She began her nurse practitioner career in a practice in Apopka, FL where her primary care skills flourished under the mentorship of a seasoned family practice physician and expert in the areas of functional medicine and hormone optimization for men and women, and further grew her knowledge by attending annual intensive conferences to perfect her skill in helping men and women feel their best at
any age. She also specializes in medical weight loss and nutraceuticals.

She is passionate about quality patient centered care and establishing strong relationships with her patients, and is excited to bring these services to central Florida area.

Aurora loves the outdoors, traveling, and spending the day at the beach. Aurora has been married to her husband Shaun for 25 years and they have 3 children: Taylor (24), Nelson (19), and Sierra (17).
